Skin Tests

Skin Prick Test

The Skin Prick Test is a quick, safe, and minimally painful procedure used to identify allergic sensitivities to common triggers such as pollen, dust mites, pet dander, and certain foods. It involves applying tiny amounts of allergens to the skin—usually on the forearm—and gently pricking the surface to observe the body’s reaction.

This test is widely used in allergy diagnosis due to its speed and accuracy. Results are typically visible within 15–20 minutes, and most patients experience little to no discomfort. It’s an essential step in creating a personalized allergy management plan.

Patch Test

The Patch Test is a reliable and non-invasive method used to diagnose allergic contact dermatitis—a skin reaction caused by direct contact with specific substances such as metals, fragrances, preservatives, or latex. During the test, small amounts of suspected allergens are applied to the skin on your back using adhesive patches, which remain in place for 48 hours.

This test is painless and safe, and reactions are carefully evaluated over several days to identify delayed allergic responses. The Patch Test plays a critical role in uncovering hidden causes of chronic eczema, rashes, and skin irritation—allowing us to recommend effective avoidance strategies and personalized treatment.
